"People are here to have a good time. It's really rewarding to help them do just that."
My essential play list:
Lots of country music. Keith Urban is my favorite.
Why MGM MIRAGE?
The expansion of the company offers an unlimited amount of professional growth potential all around the world.
Have you been mentored at MGM MIRAGE?
Yes, during the Management Associate Program, I had an advisor I met with about 2-3 times a month.
What is the most challenging part of your job?
Learning how the department runs and getting to know how to manage the employees. The Spa has such a large staff and this is my first managerial position.
What is the most rewarding part of your job?
The most rewarding part of the Management Associate Program was meeting so many employees throughout all the hotel departments at MGM Grand, and using my knowledge of each department to help in other departments.
What have you done that "they didn't teach you about in school"?
Get to know as many people in as many departments as you can and build and keep good relationships with them. This makes your job much easier since people will be willing to cooperate with you and help you out when you need it.
"If I knew then what I know now"
I would not have been so stressed out about hearing back from MGM Mirage.
What do you do for fun?
Las Vegas is a very fun city for young people.
What surprised you about Las Vegas?
Las Vegas is just like any other city with normal things to do. Not everyone lives on the Strip and hangs out there every night. Also, it can get pretty cold in the winter at times.
